The latest opus in ioulex’s on-going collaboration with costume designer Christian Joy, “3 of Cups” stars New York based artist and model Daniele Frazier. In a “Tweedledum and Tweedledee” fashion Daniele finds herself split in two characters as the nursery rhyme drama unfolds. "The Spirit's Knife" is a video companion to the eponymous song composed and performed by New York based artist and musician Jason P. Grisell. The piece is a tribute to the enduring spirit of singer Klaus Nomi and romantic poetry, with song lyrics formed from a cut up of writings from English poet Percy Bysshe Shelley. The film was directed by ioulex with costumes designed by frequent collaborator Christian Joy, inspired by opera divas Birgit Nilsson and Leontyne Price.
